Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), also known as hyperandrogenic anovulation or Stein-Leventhal syndrome, is a hormonal condition that affects a woman’s menstrual cycle, fertility, hormones and appearance. Women with PCOS tend to produce a surplus of androgens, have irregular menstrual cycles and some may have small cysts in their ovaries.
